Hi,
"Icon Social Responsibility", very nice words which has lost the meaning in the rotten business acumen of Indians. That's how, Indians are strugling to imprint their mark on world scene because of their local concerns. The N=1 is important only for those businessmen who have to exploit every single guy from the "Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP)".
When you so nicely explain and write about two incidences, there are many which can be quoted to show the senslessness of Indians in general. No leaders get up and speak during calamities. Everyone is there to take credit for India's 9% growth but hardly leaders have a clue to provide basic amenities to its citizens. Security is the last priority.
Even when poor and helpless North Indians were beaten and thrown out from their shops, another icon Amitabh Bachchan remained busy or hiding in his own house with Abhishek and Ashwarya. Later, News channel says that Amitabh attack  on Raj Thackerey through new moviews. What a "icon social responsibility" of selfish Indians?
I am happy that person like you is questioning Sarukh and Amitabh?
Keep your work...kamekish

TV What is so terrible is that India is getting immune to the violence in her midst.  Yes I thinkj some note should have been taken to the bomb blasts but more important, security measures to prevent or at least minimize such  happenings are required.
Rgds, Girdhar
